Creation of 43 Industrial zones across 40 Wilayas

Government launched a new project for the rehabilitation of all the industrial areas in Algeria, in parallel with a series of practical measures, which aimed to activate the project of completing 43 new industrial zones across 40 states, in a move to ensure the redeployment of investment projects and ensure its effectiveness so that they can be new alternatives for the creation of jobs in wilayas, especially in isolated areas.

According to the project’s document, available to Echorouk, the new industrial zones, which are a priority for the Industry Minister Shrif Rahmani, with a modernized charachter and includes all necessities, security, transport, energy, water and commercial spaces and centers for kids, as well as a number of services like banks, restaurants, and hotels, which make them vital areas that are located mostly along the structured axes like the east – west highway, and the road of upper
plateaus, and in the south as well, taking into account the national plan for creating areas for 2030.

Project of creating 43 industrial zones was entrusted to the National Agency for mediation and seizure of estate in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and SMEs and Investment Promotion, as this cooperation imposed resorting to a special plan to control the real estates, which resulted in preparation of 43 sessions for the
selection of lands, and completion of 43 plans to clear lands, following the signature of the Minister of Industry on decisions which provide for the establishment of these industrial zones, and the formation of the state committees that are concerned with studying the files relating to agricultural land conversion.
