Customs seize 597.000 euros smuggled on board of a plane belonging to Air Algerie
Security services opened an extensive investigation with the workers of Air Algerie at the international airport of Houari Boumediene, in order to find people involved in the smuggling of a significant amount of money that was seized last week end, estimated at 597.000 euros, onboard of a plane belonging to Air Algerie, which was heading towards Turkey in order to bring passengers who were on vacation there.

An official at the Algerian customs said Sunday that the suspicion is directed to the crew working in the plane, as it was traveling without passengers, stating that the customs officers entered the plane at the last moment in order to inspect and find the significant amount of money, following reception of an information about the existence of a smuggling operation.
