Defendants in Sonatrach case challenge the Criminal Court
Defendants in the case of Sonatrach resort to their defense to challenge the veto of the Supreme Court, regarding the decision of their referral to the criminal court, which was pronounced by the Chamber of charge, at its session for last 30, Echorouk confirmed sources said.
Same sources reported that all the defendants who were arrested and placed under judicial control filed an appeal to the Supreme Court, after they were charged on forming an a criminal group for money laundering, wasting public funds and bribery.
These charges are considered by justice as a felony, and this under the requests of public prosecution, which resumed since October 2011, after the order to refer the accused in the case of Sonatrach at the criminal court, which was issued by the investigative judge of the criminal pole, specialized for the ninth room of Sidi M’hamed court, and which spent preclusion of lawsuit against Sonatrach, about charges of forming a criminal gang specialized in money laundering, with the maintaining of the violation of the legislation of singing illegal deals, but the room charge, conducted a supplementary investigation into the case, after the attorney general resumed the decision of referral at the criminal court.
