Despite terrorist attacks, four million holidaymakers determined to enjoy summer season east of Algeria
The terrorist attack by the secret battalion of El Morabitine, belonging to the GSPC or AQIM, which targeted gendarmes in the beach of Taza in Ziama Mensouria, west of Jijel, east of Algeria, on July 4, 2010, and killed three of them, came to activate work of terrorism and disturb summer season in the region, security services told echorouk.
- Many observers to the security matter in Algeria said this terrorist plan failed, because of the significant decline in the performance of terrorists, who received since the beginning of the year, many military hits by the armed forces in various combing operations, and due to the lack of logistic back up cells flowing the dismantling of internal terrorist back up cells in the cities.
- Despite these kind of terrorist attacks, Jijel, east of Algeria, noticed a significant rise in the number of visitors and holiday makers to its beaches open for tourism, especially at the weekends, as services of the civil protection counted since the first of June four million holiday makers, a record that made all hotels and institutions working in the field of tourism, as well as in the private sector unable to receive more tourists, prompting hundreds of youngsters to stay overnight parks and public squares in the centre of the locality.
- Observers to the security matter said it is a message that has many indicators on the return of security in the region, and failure of terrorist groups to activate their terrorist plan.
