Details about Issser terrorist attack

Security investigations in the suicide attack which targeted the National Gendarmerie High-School in Isser, causing 45 people’s death, mostly young male and females under the age of 23 years old, confirmed that it was implemented by two suicide bombers, which confirmed a survivor’s testimony to Echorouk, that the car came from Bourdj Mnayel, east of Boumerdes province (east of Algiers).

• Sources closer to the investigation said that the two suicide bombers are youths, one of them is 25 years old and the second did not exceed 30 years, who went to the café, near the school in Isser ( only 100 meters), they sit there, drink coffee with milk and croissant, then one of them went out and returned back without talking to anybody, and asked for tea -although the rules of terrorist organization said that “it is forbidden to eat anything before meeting with Allah”!- where the majority of young people were waiting to pass their psycho-technical- exam, coming from various provinces. After that the young suicide bomber drove his bombing car, but unfortunately it collided with a bus, because it was planned to broke through the young people’s ranks, who were lined outside the school gate, to enable the car bombing from entering the school yard, and while the first bombing happened, the second suicide bomber detonated the car before it reached its goal.
• According to initial data, the car bombing targeted the morning officers’ assembly, who were controlling the school, where the terrorists have carried out surveillance from the top of the bridge opposite the school and they filmed some scenes, few days before the implementation of the suicide attack to identify their targets.
• During this period, crowds of young people of both sexes arrived at the school, in early hours to fill their files and conduct their recruitment examinations.
• According to sources close to the investigations, the terrorism organism leadership, used cars which were formerly used in transporting explosives and ammunition, and to transport its elements in light of the cars’ lack, after the security interests seized the stolen vehicles, and thwart the suicide attacks.
• The terrorist attacks has resorted to two suicide bombers against one goal to ensure success, as occurred in Bourdj Elkifane, when they targeted the Republican Guard barracks.
