Distribution of annual holidays to the police on periods, abolition of optional vacation
Directorate General of the National Security identified “legal” periods to take advantage of the annual holidays, for employees of police services, and unlike previous years, when holidays were optional and defined by employees, according to their will through lifting a demand to the direct responsible, including the date of entry and exit.
This new procedure will confine policemen at specified intervals as identified by the authorities, which is special for each region, the north, the south and the far south.
Periods of the annual vacation were identified on certain dates, in which the user can choose between them and deposit his request based on what is specified therein, to be approved by the direct responsible after considering the demand with fairness in granting holidays between employees, and maintain good conduct of security services to guarantee compensation of employees who benefited from a legal rest period.
According to data available to Echorouk, Director General of the National Security, Major General Abdelghani Hamel, sent a mission to the various security services, including the annual calendar of holidays that is emerging for employees of national security, established under the law of public services, in Article 196 on granting annual vacation, on the basis of the work that was performed during the reference period, which extends from January the 1st of the previous year to 30 January of the annual holidays, which included an amendment to the date of starting the vacation, as it has been determined from July 1st, to the end of May, with the exclusion of June from the months in which the vacation is allowed allowed, and as was the case in the past, the policeman can benefit from the annual vacationing optionally throughout the year, from January, until the month of December, as every responsible should identify the distribution of the dates for his aides, as necessary to ensure minimum services by allowing the 25% of employees to go on a vacation, and the others should ensure the rest of service hours.
