Djabbellah:”The situation is not encouraging to run for 2014 presidential elections”
Abdallah Djaballah leader of the Front of Justice and Development, said the atmosphere which is prevailing in the country is discouraging to run for 2014 presidential elections, and refused in a phone conversation with Echorouk, to confirm whether he will run or not for the elections.
He responded to a question related to the possibility of his candidacy, saying: “Do you think that the current conditions are encouragingon it. For me the most important thing is fighting and exposing with the evidence the bad intentions that are embedded in the way of amending the Constitution and disregarding the people.”
Djaballah, seemed not satisfied with the way in which the authorities announced the adoption of partial amendment, which will be introduced in the Constitution, considering it a disregard of people and clear indifference of the reality of the nation.
“Authorities should have created a committee that is represented by all the current parties and give them enough time to bring a consensual Constitution that could achieve the hopes of the martyrs and respond to the aspirations of the general public, and allows to build a strong and balanced state that is able to perform its duties in the care of the rights of citizens, and the protection of the values of the nation and protect public money. It was rumored that the partial amendment would be used for the extension of terms. Algeria needs a better constitution and a comprehensive amendment of the current constitution, from the preamble to the final judgments. The person which will created the current constitution is the “founder of corruption.”
