Djamel Mesbah to Echorouk: “I am ready to compete. I will do my best to play in the WC matchesâ€
Algerian international Djamel Mesbah will join Algeria’s team training camp in Crans Montana, Switzerland from next Saturday.
- Djamel Mesbah is late for the official date fixed by Coach Rbah Saadane, because of his commitments with his club Lecce that will play an important match next Friday to join the Italian Calico clubs.
- “I will not join the Algerian team before ensuring a win for my club Lecce over Cesena club, which expects reaching the Calico on Friday”, Mesbah told Echorouk.
- “I will travel by plane in order to join the training camp in Switzerland and island volcano is not an obstacle even if they will cancel the flight I will travel by train”, he adds.
- “I do not think I will find it difficult to cope with my Algerian team mates who are known for solidarity and brotherhood. I realized this amazing atmosphere through watching the team’s qualification to the World Cup, especially in Sudan. I will also meet new players and I am happy with that”.
- “Competition will be very fierce in Switzerland training camp, particularly since two players would be removed from the list of 23 WC players to be hand over to the FIFA on the 1st of June. Therefore, I will do my best to book my place among the 23 players to represent Algeria in the WC South Africa.
- “My father is the happiest man in the world. Everyone in my family was happy when they summoned me to participate in the training camp and carry the national colours. It is a pride to all Algerians. They all felt proud”.
- “There are no official contacts with Juventus or Fiorentina. Those are just rumours. I am well placed in Lecce and I do not think of moving for next season”.
