Drastic changes in ranks, points in public employment

Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal’s decision put the General Inspectorate of Public Employment in a dilemma that threatens to create a crisis in rankings and positions, like the protests of State Engineering Student in the spring of 2011, when they protested against their equality in the rating N°13 for Master graduates, which resulted in the issuance of a ministerial decree to rectify the error.

Rankings and positions of public employment will notice drastic changes after the decision of the equation of the Master Certificate with the old and the new systems, and will change the evident points that would radically change the amendments that were brought by the Law on Public Employment in 2006, after the work was transferred from the experience system to the certification system.

Echorouk sources said that the equation of the certificate will face the Public Employees with two choices, either by classifying graduates of LMD System in Class 13, and Master 01 in Class 14, and Master 02 in Class 15, which will make them equal with the graduates of the old system, which will create a crisis of protests that will not be acceptable to graduates of the old system in view of the large difference in the duration of the training between the two systems.

Especially, since the Prime Minister, announced only the issuance of a ministerial decree that will determine the equivalence of diplomas, which will lift up the confusion about the acceptance of employment for LMD system graduates, without clarifying whether LMD system workers will receive the same salary, which the graduates of the old system obtain.

Other parties worried of the crisis of protests that was led by students of Schools and the National Institutes who refused their graduations’ equality with Master graduation, as it was in Decree No. 07-304.
