Drug Trade Funds Criminals, Threaten Algerians' Social Life
Drug trade threatens the social life of Algerians because it is linked to the ugliest crimes and funded criminal organizations, Dean of Police and Head of the Team of Combating Drugs Trafficking of Algiers Security Services, said during the conclusion of the study days that were organized by the General Directorate of Security.
“We should fight against drug trade, and there is a need for concerted efforts and coordination between all the actors in order to combat the scourge of drugs, which is threatening even kids”.
Tariek Ghallab started the symposium by presenting a summary of the drug kinetics and its evolution over the years, saying it is taking serious dimensions that threaten the social life, especially because it noticed a remarkable surge in recent years and the statistics that are recorded in the number of issues and people who are involved is best proof of that.
“Drug dealers each time invent new mechanisms for trading, which requires from all the competent authorities to develop control and deterrence methods.”
He also warned of the danger of exploiting minors in this type of crime, calling on the parents and educational family to the condensation of awareness of this dangerous phenomenon that has become associated with the most ugliest crimes, and the funding of criminal organizations.
