Echorouk launches the publication of studies about the economic and social life in Algeria
Echorouk launches publication of a series of strategic studies, including analysis and diagnosis of the economic and social files, according to realistic researches that are based on reliable and scientific evidence.
-
A special team of researchers from the Unit of the Economic Studies, belonging to “Media Sens” independent institution, will conduct these studies.
-
-
The first part of the study deals particularly with the class of people who have the income of less than 20.000 dinars monthly. Then Echorouk will publish details about other social classes from 20.000 to 30.000 dinars, then 30.000-40.000 dinars, 40.000-50.000 d, 50.000-60.000 d, and finally 60.000 to 80.000 dinars.

This unique study in Algeria would reveal the sweeping return of the middle class in Algeria and the emergence of new kinds of consumption which depend mainly on bank loans and various facilities as new sources of income for the Algerian families.
-
-
The study also highlights the gradual erosion of the traditional division of the society, through the decreasing number of the rich class because of broad-based middle class, due to the several economic and socio- cultural changes in the consumption and income levels.
-
-
The study also revealed that the average income which guarantees the basic needs of an Algerian family of only four members can not in any way be down from 40.000 dinars, at a rate of 10.000 dinars per person, to insure the basic needs during one month.
-
-
The study revealed that there is no difference between the poor and rich in the culture of consumption, because both of them classify bread and milk as a basic product, whatever the family income. Cars also came at the top of the list of priorities and necessities for the Algerian families which resort to the “facilities” in many cases, where the loans of cars came before those of the housing. Consequently, the vast majority of the Algerians ordered their priorities in a wrong manner because of the wrong politics.
-
-
Even the poor class (less than 20.000 monthly) do not hesitate to ask for the bank loans, however, the reality revealed in the study showed that this class always borrowed money from relatives and friends, outside the bank, showing that the culture of the social solidarity and “do good” is still a defining characteristic of the Algerian society.
-
-
The study also shows a strange paradox, 80% of the Algerian families which earn less than 20.000 dinars monthly, need to ensure their food, particularly milk and bead with 99%, revealing the inability to expand the circle of consumer interests beyond bread and milk.
