“Echorouk pays vibrant tribute to Hafid Djerradji with focus of attention being… his mother”

The ceremony organized by “Echorouk” in honour of Hafid Derradji was splendiferous. A large number of Algerian personalities from the sectors of media, sports, culture and art were in attendance.
- We witnessed the presence during this high-flown ceremony the presence of Raouraoua, Abdelkader Drif, Mechrara, Berraf, Medouar, Ait Djoudi, Ben Youcef Ouadia, Maâmar Djebbour, Artist El Koubbi, Zakia Mohammed and comedian Lakhdar Boukhers who all wanted to pay homage to Hafid Derradji for his brilliant itinerary as a talented and renowned TV sports commentator.
- Hafid Derradji has occupied several posts and has swiftly risen in the professional scale within the Algerian television, before joining of late the Al Jazeera sports channel in Doha, Qatar.
- While in Algeria, he held the post of chief editor of the TV sports service before becoming head of the news department, then assistant to the General Manager of the Algerian Television.
- Those who know well Hafid Derradji did not miss the opportunity to take the floor during this ceremony to extol his merits and attributes as a seasoned TV sports commentator.
- All of them stressed the imperious necessity of valorizing Algerian professional skills and wished Derradji’s early return on the screen of the Algerian Television (ENTV).
- The other focus of attention during this ceremony was Derradji’s mother who was warmly hailed by all those present for having given birth to such a valourous man by instilling in him the deep love of his country, Algeria.
- On this occasion, the General Manager of Echorouk, Ali Fodhil, said in an opening statement that it was an honour to pay tribute to a man of a caliber of Hafid Derradji stressing the latter had given a lot to sport in Algeria.
- Echorouk always tries to honour the best ambassadors of Algerian overseas and Hadif Derradji is someone who has contributed greatly to honouring Algeria and sport abroad, Ali Fodhil added.
- Hafid Derradji was very moved by this token of gratitude and warmly thanked Echorouk for this convivial encounter organized in his honour as well as his cherished mother for all the good she did to him, as he put it.
