“Echorouk” pays visit to distressed father of young Algerian girl murdered in Mecca

Echorouk's reporters paid a visit Thursday in the Tlemcen area to the realfather of the 14 – year old Algerian girl called Sarah who was cowardly murderedafter being raped earlier this week by presumed Bangladeshi workers in a hotelin the holy city of Mecca, a heinous crime which touched off a large wave ofcondemnation and indignation in the Saudi kingdom, in Algeria and elsewhere inthe muslim world.

• Echorouk’s reporters found Sarah’s father Mohamed Benouis at home in total
  distress.

  He has been under a state of shock since he heard the sad news that his daughter
  was brutally murdered in Mecca.

  His daughter who has been living in Marseille – France – with her mother was on
  a small pilgrimage or Omra in Mecca with her mother and some relatives, where
  her life was abruptly mowed down by a bunch of  heartless criminals.

  Her 61 year old father said that despite his daughter’s departure to France to
  live with her mother ten years ago, he has always been in touch with her either
  on the phone or via the Internet.

  He said that his late daughter Sarah was a most intelligent and devout girl as
  she learnt by heart about 47 chapters of the holy Koran and succeeded in
  learning to speak not less than 7 languages with a short period of time.

  He also expressed his other sadness and desolation at the sudden and unexpected
  loss of his cherished daughter stressing that such a cruel loss had steeped him
  into a haunting nightmare.

  Mohamed Benouis further heartily called on the Algerian authorities to take the
  necessary steps to shed all the light, in close conjunction with their Saudi
  counterparts, on the hideous murder of his young daughter by bringing the
  criminals before justice.
