Education: Bac Exam pupils pressurize the Ministry

The Ministry of National Education, announced date of the 2nd May to launch the threshold lessons that will be the basis of topics for preparing exams’ subjects, and communicated to all candidates and to the National Bureau of examinations and competitions, for its adoption as a reference in the preparation of topics for the bac exams on June 2013, which is the same date of the end of studies. At a time it revelaed that educational institutions will remain open to students for revision until next June, I.e tone day before the start of the exam.

Statement of the Ministry of National Education, a copy available to Echorouk, said that it will announce the threshold lessons for the baccalaureate exams of June 2013, on the second of May, which will be the basis of exams that would be communicated to all candidates, and to the Bureau national of exams and competitions, for adoption as a reference in the preparation of subjects, confirming that it will not come out for the lessons that have been submitted already to students in their departments throughout the school year, and thus have the ministry has bowed to pupils of final classes, who took to the streets since the end of last week, through the various localities of the country, to demand what is becoming known as “threshold”, despite criticism of independent syndicates of Education and experts in the field, who emphasized in many of their statements, that “threshold” will affect the credibility of the baccalaureate degree.

Education Ministry added in the same statement, that it is keen to provide all the good conditions for pupils, especially those who will start national school examinations, and sent tranquility in the hearts of pupils in general and bac exam pupils specially, that it will take in the bac exam of June 2013, the same regulatory measures, which were taken in recent years, namely the adoption of two topics per exam in every article, as pupils choose one subject, in order to help them and give them an opportunity to select the appropriate topic, as well as adding 30 minutes to the timing for each test in the exam, to enable the candidates from a careful reading of the subject and understand the basic elements which are contained in it before answering, in addition to the non-application of the corporate status as the case remains like it was in the previous session.

The ministry sent instructions in this regard to all managers of education in the wilayas, and inspectors of pedagogy and managers of educational institutions and teachers, in order to ensure that lessons are provided in a normal pace without filler or haste, and in the manner which enables the pupils of understanding and comprehension, with the necessity of keeping educational institutions open to students until the date of the bac exam, I.e until the first of June, on the grounds that the exam will be held starting from the second of June and up to 6 of the same month, in order to enable them to benefit from the support and revision quotas, as well as individual or collective deliberation.
