Education:250.000 employees to get Wage Increases

Education Minister, Baba Ahmed Abdellatif orders the reclassification and integration of 250.000 employees according to their new positions, and in accordance to the Decree 12/240, which would allow them to benefit from wage increases before December 15.

The minister also orders the establishement of a national card for all teachers and professors with their names, title, adress and the municipality where they work.

Wages of 250.000 workers in the education sector are expected to improve after the end of their re-qualification and integration, according to the new decree, as 25.000 teachers from the elementary schools come on top of the list of beneficiaries, who were arranged earlier in 10th ranking. The new decree will also allow their classification in the 11th ranking.

80.000 teachers in primary schools and basic education, who have passed their formative period successfully, will be reclassified and reintegrated in coordination between the Education and Higher Education Ministries, as the process will be done in a row in the ranks 11 and 12

The decree also concerns the reclassification of 40.000 managers and inspectors, who were previously classified in the top positions, as they will be classified to ranks.

To set this task, that the minister Baba Ahmed Abdellatif was keen to complete, in order to stop the policy of vacancy in the new Basic Law, giving the date of Dec. 15, as a deadline to follow the process of the Directorate of Human Resources.
