Education:Ministry to hire IT teachers for middle, secondary schools’ pupils

Ministry of National Education will recruit starting from the next school year, teachers of IT, in the middle and secondary phases, as teachers of physics and mathematics were doing this job.

In contrast, the Ministerial Publication on lifting the financial value of the additional hours is currently on the table of the Finance Ministry and the Public Service for the final consideration.

Member of the National Federation of Education Workers, Chabekh Farhat, told Echorouk that the Minister of National Education, Baba Ahmed Abdellatif, had told them during the meeting, that starting from the next school year, his services will hire teachers to teach IT for pupils of the middle and secondary schools.

Regarding the file of special lessons, member of the National Federation of Education Workers, asserted that the Ministerial Decree on developing the special lessons is semi-ready, and is currently on the table and the Ministry of Finance and the competent authorities at the level of the General Directorate of Public Service. 

“We asked the ministry to the need to calculate the years of national service in the pre-retirement, on the grounds that the employee in that specified period had performed his national duty, while the ministry had informed them that it would inform the Directorate of Public Service about their demand as soon as possible”.

“Education Minister has pledged to study the “framing” and “commissioning” grant, under the grants’ file in the near future, the two grants which the Federation asked for recreating them for the benefit of managers and inspectors for the administrative tasks they carry out, especially during the time of the official exams”.

 

“The federation has renewed its demand to the need to complete the assignment on functional housing for the benefit of users of the sector as stipulated by the laws. It also demanded the importance of returning to the construction of functional houses for all the educational institutions, as the case was in the past, a process that has been stalled since 1995”.
