Egypt didn't request security guarantees for JS Kabylie –El Ahly match, Abou Gheit says
The Egyptian authorities have expressed confidence in the ability of their Algerian counterparts to ensure all-out security during the upcoming African champions' league match between JS Kabylie and Egypt's El Ahly slated for next Sunday evening in Tizi Ouzou stadium.

This topical issue was at the centre of a telephone conversation between Egyptian foreign ministry Ahmed Abou Gheit and his Algerian opposite number Mourad Medelci.

-
The two sides agreed on the necessity to see the forthcoming match due to oppose JS Kabylie and Egypt’s El Ahly in Tizi Ouzou being held in the best conditions and in all fair-play and sportsmanship.

The Egyptian authorities also pledged in return to ensure full security for the second-leg match scheduled for later this month in Cairo in a bid to turn the page of the violent incidents which marred last November’s World cup qualifier between Egypt and Algeria in Cairo stadium and the ensuing spiteful Egyptian media campaign unleashed by overzealous Egyptians against Algeria.

Now, the Egyptian side is seemingly intent on straightening out things and embarking upon a respectful and better relationship with the Algerian side as the two nation shares many common values, as they put it.
