Egypt prevents Algeria from attending Aviation Arab Union meeting and aviation international exhibition

Algerian foreign ministry lodged a complaint Sunday at its Egyptian counterpart as Egypt’s embassy to Algiers refused to give visa to two Algerian delegations.

• The delegations were expected to enter Egypt to attend the general assembly of the Union of the Arab Aviation and the International Exhibition of Aviation.

• CEO of Algeria’s airliner Air Algerie Wahid Bouabdellah told Echorouk he submitted an official complaint to the foreign ministry about that. “I don’t exclude that the decision was due to the airlift between Algeria and Cairo to transport Algerian fans.”

• Previously, the Algerian embassy in Egypt invited many officials there to attend the liberation revolution day. On the other hand, Egyptian authorities prevented Algerian from attending the general assembly of the Arab Union of Aviation and the International Exhibition of Aviation. More than 74 exhibitors participated in it and more than 15 companies sponsored it. It was inaugurated by the Egyptian president and was organised in Charam Echeikh. It is held by the international aviation ministry every two years.
