Egypt puts Algeria in black list in the name of fighting Al Qaeda
Egyptian authorities put Algeria along with five Arab countries in a black list, saying Egypt believes that some of Algerian citizens have something to do with Al Qaeda.

This decision allows to Egyptian security forces to oblige citizens from Algeria, Somalia, Iraq, Yemen and Mauritania to undergo special prevention procedures, many sources reported on Sunday.
This surprise decision includes the execution of security measures on the five Arab countries.Passports will be checked and security forces will keep watch on their people in Egypt.
According to an Egyptian magazine, the five countries were put in the black list as “there are branches of Al Qaeda inside in them.”
The same magazine did not mention Saudi Arabia.
The same source said Egypt will cooperate with those countries to prevent any suspect from arriving to its soil. “Suspects will be followed until confirmation that they do not have anything to with the terrorist organisation.”
This decision comes while the Egyptian embassy in Algiers refused to give visa to a number of Algerian pilots and the general director of the national airliner Air Algerie to attend a professional conference in Cairo.
The “black list” shows that Egypt has an understood way in dealing with Algeria. That gives the impression that Egypt targets Algeria. The other four countries are no more than a cover to conceal its intention and mislead the public opinion.
The list came many months after the US and France had banned similar lists. They had said Algeria would remain a strong partner and ally in the fight against terrorism.
Earlier in April, the US transportation administration announced that it had banned Algeria from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism or interesting countries like Pakistan, Yemen and Nigeria. The list included four countries Washington had described terrorism sponsors. They are: Cuba, Sudan, Syria and Iran. The other countries which suffer from terrorism include Arab states: Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan.
