Egypt will ensure the safety of Algerian fans, says ambassador
Algerian ambassador to Egypt Abdelkader Hadjar
Egyptian security forces gave guarantees to the Algerian ambassador about the Algerian players’ safety ahead of the November 14 match, he told Echorouk Saturday.

“Egyptian security officials told me no gathering will be allowed next to the hotel where the national team will stay,” Abdelkader Hadjar said.

He added that Air Algerie will be in charge of tickets distribution to tourism agencies.

The ambassador is busy with making arrangements for the Algerian fans coming to Egypt. “Everyone who wants to come to Egypt should not travel individually because he may not be allowed to enter the stadium.”
-
-
Egypt offered 2,000 tickets to Algeria which will be distributed on travel agencies by Air Algerie. “Anyone who does not pass by those agencies will not get the ticket.”
-
-
The ambassador said he is concerned about the tickets as the embassy has not received them yet. “I wish we received them in the last few hours to send them to the agencies in Algeria in a proper way.”
-
-
He added that Egypt has not printed the ticket yet to avoid counterfeiting and black market sale. “But I am expecting to receive the tickets before Monday.”

Speaking about the Algerian fans, Hadjar said he is working with the Egyptian authorities to make them stay in hotels close to each other. “The hotels should not be located in down town or close to the stadium to avoid any confrontation with the Egyptian fans.”
