Egypt’s Al-Nadi is Ismaili team will be hearty welcomed in Algeria, say fans

JS Kabylie’s fans in the province of Tizi Ouzou (100 km east of Algiers) decided to prepare a historic welcome to Egypt’s Al-Nadi is Ismaili ahead of the first round match of the African Champions’ League.

  • They believe that Sunday’s match will be a precious opportunity for the Algerian and Egyptian fans to give a nice image to the world about brotherhood between the two countries’ people.
  •
  • They also said the match should be a fresh start between Algeria and Egypt’s fans to enhance ancestral friendship ties which were about to be broken for ever.
  •
  • A member of the fans’ committee told Echorouk he hoped that the match would be a lesson to the fans so that relations between Algeria and Egypt will not be spoilt in any other sportive competition.
  •
  • “Having a sportive spirit in the match will be an opportunity and a proof to the world that relations between Arab and Muslim people are civilised,” he added.
  •
  • JK Kabylie’s players and technical staff got an extraordinary hearty welcome in Egypt. “Don’t worry about your team. Kabylie’s people are nice and generous. You will have good time in Algeria and we welcome our Egyptian brothers in the country of martyrs with flowers and music,” he said.
  •
  • The committee started making many placards to be hung in Tizi Ouzou’s stadium during the match. A 25-metre-lengh placard was made to be put in benches and another one of 20 metres will be hung in the main entrance of Tizi Ouzou.
  •
  • Committee’s member Kamel said they have been told about the nice welcome in Egypt. “We are very happy and we will treat them in the same way. JK Kabylie and Al-Nadi is Ismaili are strong. Because of that, we will watch a great match with sportive spirit.”
  •
  • He hoped that the match would be a lucky charm for Algeria and Egypt to end the conflict between them whatever the result will be.
  •
  • Nassima, a female fan, said problems should go away between the two countries. “We were touched by the way JK Kabylie were welcomed in Cairo. The Algerian people will certainly welcome their Egyptian brothers in Algiers and Tizi Ouzou. They will show to the world that they are unified against the enemies of the Arab and Muslim nation.”
  •
  • She hoped that female fans would find a special place for them in the stadium to attend the match. “We are ready to show to everyone that we are civilised people.
