Egyptian Defense Minister and Head of Intelligence oppose the “Inheritance plan”

The Egyptian President Hosni Moubarek did not find any solution in order to stay at the head of power but preparing a plan of hereditary ruling which aimed to transfer the powers to his son djamel Moubarek by mobilizing the largest number of lobbies in the Egyptian regime.

  • Apart from this suggestion which was endorsed in the ruling party only by its head Safwat Echarif, the Interior Minister El Habib Adli, however, both Omar Selimane , head of the Egyptian intelligence and Defense Minister, Hecine Tantaoui, imposed categorically the idea if hereditary ruling.
  •
  • The Egyptian public opinion does not accept the plan of hereditary ruling from Hosni Moubarak to his son Djamel, while there are some classes of the Egyptian society which do not give importance about what will happen between the elephants of the Egyptian regime struggling for the hereditary ruling, however, what is firm and came out publicly in Egypt is that both the military and security institutions apposed each others, thus the son who will replace his father will dangerously affect democracy in Egypt.
  •
  • What reflect this picture are the abstentions of both the Minister of Defense Hecine Tantaoui and the head of the Egyptian intelligence Omar Selimane, from supporting the preface to the presidency of Jamel Mubarek, as only the Interior Minister El Habib Al Adli supports the suggestion which is not desirable for the Egyptian street, along with Safwat Echerif, head of National Party and Head of the People’s Council Mohamed Fathi.
  •
  • All those names, despite their weight in the existing system, will fall if their plan of inheritance will fail, not because the Egyptian army would turn against the regime, but, because time is still long before the commencement of the implementation of the plan in the face of opposition.
