Egyptian Islamic Group stears clear of GSPC’s misdeeds in Algeria
Doctor Mountasser Eziat
The Lawyer of the Egyptian Islamic Group in Egypt Doctor Mountasser Eziat has denied any contact between the “Egyptian Islamic Group†and the “Salafist group for preaching and combat†–GSPC- in Algeria and lashed out vehemently at the latter’s latest terrorist attacks perpetrated in the eastern part of the country.

In a press release published on Monday in the National press, the Egyptian Islamic Group strongly condemned the recent criminal attack, claimed by the GSPC, against the Gendarmerie high school of Les Issers, in Boumerdes province, which mowed down the lives of many innocent victims.

-
The Egyptian Islamic Group described the Issers suicide bomber as “vile and cowardly” and as having nothing to do whatsoever with martyrdom.

Mountasser Eziat emphasized that the GSPC in Algeria was still burying its head in the sand, as he put it, stressing that this group should forsake terrorist violence and follow the path of genuine Islam, reason and common sense.
