Egyptian security forces on state of emergency ahead of the match between Al Ahly and JS Kabylie.

The Egyptian authorities have tightened security around the Algerian club JS Kabylie to avoid skirmishes and assaults from the zealous fans against the backdrop of tension between the two countries in the wake of the attack against the Algerian team bus last November in Cairo.

• An impressive security plan has been deployed inside the hotel where the Algerian delegation is dwelling in addition to the spread of dozens of security elements in the surrounding areas. All the ways leading to the hotel and the Military Academy, where JSKabylie hold their training sessions, have been cordoned off.

• In a bid to control the situation, the Egyptian security authorities have called up 30 officers backed by others in civilian clothes to seal off the fifth floor at the “Meridian Heliopolis” and impeach any foreigner to approach the Algerian delegation.

• The Egyptian authorities have warned the Algerian delegation including the players, managers and journalists against the idea of getting out of the hotel of the hotel without a security escort and advised them to be extremely cautious.
