Eid Al Adha: Education Ministry grants one week holiday for the sector

Ministry of Education decided on Sunday to grant a one week holiday from October 26 to November 3, for the teachers, pupils and employees of the sector, as the holidays will start on Friday, the first day of Eid Al Adha, until Sunday, November 3.

According to informed sources, the Minister of National Education, Abdellatif Baba Ahmed, signed on Sunday a decision that grants a school holiday that extends from October 28 to October 31, adding to that the two days of the religious feast “Eid Al Adha”, which will coincide with the week end, and the day of the first November (Revolution Day), which will be on Thursday, and next week end as well.

Therfore, the pupils will return to their schools on Sunday, November 4, because the feast holidays coincide with Revolution Day, Friday and Saturday of the next week.

Echorouk learned that the Minister of Education Abdellatif Baba Ahmed, signed the decision on Sunday evening, then sent it to the sector’s managers across the wilayas, as he canceled through this decision the decree No. 16, issued by the former Minister of Education, Abou Bakr Ben Bouzid, dated on June 19, 2011, which deleted the autumn holiday of the 2012-2013 school year.

The resolution that is adopted by the new Minister of Education, Abdellatif Baba Ahmed, authorizes a school break from Sunday, October 28 to Wednesday, October 31, 2012.”
