El Djeich Magazine: President Tebboune Undeterred by the Rumours of Domestic and Foreign Spokespeople

The High Command of the People’s National Army emphasised that the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will not be deterred by the clamour of voices both at home and abroad, spreading rumours and fake news, from achieving the true leap forward, affirming that the awareness of the Algerian people and their connection to their homeland and history have thwarted all plots aimed at sowing doubt and despair.

The magazine “El Djeich” (The Army), in its latest issue for January 2026, featured an editorial titled “Achievements That Blinded the Envious,” stating: “The year 2025 was brimming with achievements and gains, completing the national renaissance project led with unwavering resolve by the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He is confident of our country’s victory and its success in achieving the true leap that will propel it into the ranks of emerging nations, fulfilling the legacy of our righteous martyrs and the pledges he made to work with unwavering determination to serve the people and defend the nation’s interests.”

The magazine added that “the President of the Republic is undeterred by difficulties, resistance to change, attempts to sow confusion, or the rumours and fake news spread by certain parties, entities, and dissenting voices both at home and abroad, exploiting some of the concerns of the citizens.”

The magazine “El Djeich” explained that the country’s highest authorities “have placed the concerns of citizens at the heart of their priorities, foremost among them the President of the Republic, who is keen to continue the reform process relentlessly on all fronts and in all sectors, with his ultimate goal being to promote sustainable development aimed at improving social conditions and meeting the basic needs of Algerians.”

El Djeich asserted that “these reforms and the strenuous efforts exerted, which have profoundly impacted all sectors, have borne fruit, as reflected in the gains achieved and the tangible accomplishments, which are numerous. The President of the Republic highlighted these achievements in his annual address to both houses of Parliament, presenting figures and facts that leave no room for doubt.”

On the economic front, the same source added, “As part of our country’s efforts to build a strong and sovereign economy, our economy has become one of the most dynamic in the Mediterranean and North Africa, thanks to the achievements in the industrial, agricultural, and mining sectors, which are undergoing a true revolution within an unprecedented investment climate that reflects the confidence of foreign investors.”

“Amidst this ambitious path that our country is pursuing with unwavering will and determination, the social character of the state remains a red line. The President of the Republic has pledged to uphold it under all circumstances as a firmly established principle, inspired by the Declaration of November 1, 1954. It aims to guarantee a dignified life for Algerians, as embodied in the achievements in the housing sector and those aimed at strengthening the purchasing power of citizens, who are at the heart of the highest authorities’ concerns,” the magazine continued.

The magazine “El Djeich” also highlighted the President’s decision to import one million sheep in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha, marking the second consecutive year of such imports.

The report highlighted that “these strategic gains and achievements, along with the numerous projects launched by our country to strengthen the digital, education, health, higher education, and public works sectors, as well as water security—which has been bolstered by the seawater desalination plants that have become operational, with more planned plants in other provinces—are projects completed in record time using advanced technologies and by Algerian hands, a source of pride for the new and victorious Algeria.”

“It is certain that these spiteful individuals, no matter how hard they try to obstruct the path of the victorious new Algeria and stifle its development project by sowing despair and frustration, weaving conspiracies and intrigues, inciting discord and division, and darkening the hopes and aspirations of Algerians for a better tomorrow, will ultimately fail miserably. They will never achieve their malicious goals, thanks to the awareness of the Algerian people, who have been tested by trials and tribulations to understand the plots being hatched against them and their homeland. They thwart the enemies’ plans time and again, for they know their vile objectives and understand their despicable intentions. They will be vigilant against them and against anyone who tries to tamper with the security and stability of our nation and the peace of the Algerian people,” the magazine “El Djeich” added.

El Djeich magazine concluded that, “Algeria will remain forever strong and resilient, despite its enemies, prosperous and solid with its people, institutions, and security with its National People’s Army. Undoubtedly, history will record in its pages the plots of the conspirators, the cunning, and the cowardly, just as it will preserve the efforts and deeds of the loyal and faithful, and the glory of the men, just as it preserved the sacrifices of the martyrs for the liberation of our homeland and raising its flag high, fluttering, and proud.”
