Emergency to address the spread of Shiite ideas among young Scouts

Preventive measures to protect the young Scouts from external thought were taken, including pedagogical measures like complying with the Islamic education for Scouts, which was drafted in coordination with the Ministry of National Education, as well as regulatory measures relating to tightening control over the activity and work of scout teams, Commander of the Islamic Scouts, Noureddine Ben Brahem told Echorouk on Wednesday.

Ben Brahem added that the commission of inquiry that was sent to the wilaya of Batna, to investigate the spread of Shiism among some young scouts, finished the drafting of its report and gave it to the leadership that will examine its details here on Thursday, before presenting its content to the National Council, which is the highest body, at two conferences, on Friday, refusing to talk about the content of the results of the investigation, on the grounds that he had not seen it yet, but stressed that the investigation in the case of the spread of Shiism in Batna, was through contact with broad administrative institutions and parents of kids in the city.
“Strict measures, whatever the result of the investigation, are taken, along with preventive action, because the external spread of thought targets youth at the level of scouts and outside, in schools and in different associations, as long as young people are linked constantly with what is published on Web Sites”.
“The program, which Muslim Scouts insist on its application is not related to what happened in the wilaya of Batna, but is related to the attempts to introduce strange ideas in the country, about society by various media including satellite channels, noting that the Muslim Scouts foresaw in 2008, the possibility of intellectual and sectarian attacks, so it has prepared a publication, which is a joint production with the Ministry of National Education, and under the supervision of the inspector of Islamic Education, titled “Islamic education in the curricula of the Scout Movement,” and is directed to all scout associates with different ages.
