Ennahda Movement:”Green Algeria Bloc to prove Fraud in 10 May Elections”

Head of Ennahda (renaissance) Movement, Rabbiai, announced on Friday, that Green Algeria Bloc has the evidence of falsification of 10 May elections’ results, adding that it will be unveiled soon.

“Efforts are continuing to coordinate the positions of the political class, and stand in the face of the falsificated elections”, without separating the way to deal ‭with the new‭ ‬parliament. ‬

Rabbiai showed attachment for Green Algeria Bloc, saying on the sidelines of the opening of the Movement’s Shura Council, that this body was granted a visa to join the bloc; “We are not a shadow and we have leading institutions that accepted to join the bloc. We are keen to continue coordination with the political class,” expressing his desire to see the Shura Council acceptance, in order to achieve this aim, but avoided to talk about details of what could be taken by the Shura Council to counter what Annahda Movement calls as an electoral farce, and asserted only that the efforts will be concentrated to reach consistent a position with what the political class seeks, and that Annahda was among parties which called for the unification of positions.

“The speech by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to commemorate the massacres of May 8, was outside the legal time of the election campaign, and in favor of a particular party, which is the National Liberation Front (FLN), and this upset the parties which participated in the elections”.

“The Movement’s Shura Council, has an agenda that includes two main points, namely, evaluating the results of the elections and identifying the practical measures to counter the results of the elections in which Green Algeria Bloc ranked third with 47 seats, while it would have won the first or second place, depending on the initial results. The Authority has missed a valuable opportunity for Algerians to correct the accumulated political, economic and social imbalances, pointing out that the electoral farce was launched with the laws of the crisis, including the elections’ law and the law of parties, which kept the administration dominating the electoral process, and then breaking the elections’ law to register the collective members of the common services, while the worst thing in these elections was the announcement of results before the end of the process of collecting records, and without announcing on the number of votes obtained by each party”.

“The real defeated is the party which fail to mobilize the people.The aim of fraud is to prevent the achievement of the bloc’s objectives, including amending the constitution to reflect the parliamentary system, criticizing the performance of international observers, including observers from the European Union, who aimed to steal people’s funds ‭to ‭grant them the International Fund”‭. ‬
