ES Setif coach Ait Djoudi packs his bag in Tunis after qualifier setback
Coach Azzedine Ait Djoudi
The president of the Algerian club of ES Setif , Abdelhamid Serrar has decided to fire his coach Azeddine Ait Djoudi immediately after the end of the match that opposed his team to the Tunisian side Esperance of Tunis that saw the elimination of the former Arab League Champion in the second –leg semi -final played Sunday in Rades stadium as part of the Arab Champions' League competition.
-
Former holder of the trophy for two years in a row, ES Setif showed signs of weakness over the past few weeks sparking the fans’ anger who criticized the coach’s tactical schemes and players’ choices.
-
At the time when the president was beating about the bush to hire a renowned coach to replace Azzedine Ait Djoudi in the person of the Argentinean Oscar Fullone, Serrar was forced to change his mind judging time too short for the appointment of a new coach. This would requirea lot of money and time to adapt to the club’s environment.
-
These elements forced the president to turn to the former coach assistant Toufik Rouabah, who was fired two weeks ago, because of divergences between him and Azzedine Ait Djoudi. The new old coach assistant will have the responsibility to lead the club during its next continental fixture in Angola.
