ESSetif to withdraw from the Arab Champion League

The tug of war between the president of the football club ES Setif, Abdelmalek Serrar and the head of the Algarian football league, Ali Malek reached its peak over the last two days following the refusal of this latter to postpone the match opposing ESSetif with the leaser JSKabylie.

ESSetif sent two faxes to the league

The events escalated when Abdelhakim Serrar sent two faxes from Egypt to the Algerian league asking them to postpone the match arguing that his squad cannot play the match on due the fixed date because his administration didn’t book the return tickets for its players, but the head of the league didn’t reply to the requests.

Serrar outraged and appeals 

 

Following the refusal of the league, Abdelhakim Serrar yesterday declared s team will not play the match even with the juniors and considered the case as “absurd” whose champion is Ali Malek who applies the laws as he wishes in an unfair way.

The head of ESSetif branded the head of the League as “Rambo” and vowed to strike back on his return from Cairo and even appeal to the Algerian Football Association as well as the youth and sports ministry and even raise the case to the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

The players were intoxicated in Cairo

Abdelhakim Serrar indicated that some of his players were intoxicated in Cairo and health certificates are here to prove his declarations, which forced his administration to call off their return to the country in addition to the fact that the bookings were not confirmed.

ESSetif threatens to withdraw from the Arab champions League

As to the possibility of giving the math points to his rival, JSKabylie in case were ESSSEtif sticks to its position, Serrar declared that he didn’t care because the Algerian football is witnessing its worst period ever.

In this respect, he added that some of his staff members menaced to withdraw from the Arab competition as a reaction to the “unfair “treatment reserved to their team.
