European Golden Ball 2008 short list

“France Football” announced the names of 30 football players from the European clubs to win the “Golden Ball 2008”.

• The list includes 11 players from the English Premiere League and 11 from the Spanish Championship. However, the Italian championship presented and two players as well as the German and the Russian. Only one player was chosen from the French championship.

• The Spanish national team, winner of 2008 UEFA, had seven players shortlisted.

• The list does not include players who had already won the prize, such as Brazilian Ronaldhino, Italian Canavarro and French Thierry Henri.

• The winner of the “Golden Ball 2008” will be announced in December 2nd 2008.
