Association of Defending the rights of Air Algerie user , and the movement of Algerian nationals in France, filed a lawsuit against the company Air Algerie and “Aigle Azur” on charges of “business conspiracy” against Algerians living in France through imposing high prices of tickets in the summer season and Ramadan‭.

The head of the defenders of Air Algerie users’ rights and the movement of Algerian nationals in France, Omar Ait-Mokhtar, said in a phone converstion with Echorouk on Saturday; “The lawsuit has been filed at the European Commission of air transport which is based in the French city Strasbourg. I had asked users of Air Algerie to keep tickets of their travel as a material evidence of the organized fraud and theft which was exerted by air and “Aigle Azur” against the Algerians living in France. The lawsuit will force the two companies to provide financial compensation for the Algerians passengers”.

“The business conspiracy between Air Algerie and Aigle Azure, contributes in rising the ticket of the flight Paris-Algiers up to 730 euros, and the reason is that these two companies do not allow booking tickets in the rest of the year’s periods for the summer season, but until the end of April contrary to the French airlines, and this is a clear exploitation of the summer season to raise prices”‭, he added.

“General Directorate of the French Civil Aviation, announced on a program of additional flights between Algeria and France, as of Monday of 50% by Air Algerie and 50% by the French companies, in order to enable Algerians to return to France at the right time, and before the start of the school year early on Sebtember. The General Directorate of the French Civil Aviation, rejected the former program of additional flights because its Algerian counterpart refused to adopt a new program of additional flights for the company “Air Mediterranée”, at a time it granted additional flights for the company “Aigle Azur”‭. ‬

Ait Mokhtar explained that he had notified the Minister Deputy of Transport Abdelmalek Sallal, and the French Minister of transport, Frederic Cuvillier, to break the deadlock at the level of the departments of Civil Aviation of the two countries, calling for a meeting gathering all parties to find a final solution to this problem, which is renewed every ‭year, ‭and which ‭deprives thousands of Algerians from spending their holidays in homeland. ‬
