Families of Algerian prisoners in Libya protest

A total of 27 families of Algerian prisoners in Libya protested Thursday in front of Foreign Affairs Ministry’s headquarters to push Algerian authorities to take their children’s issue and speed up their deportation to Algeria. Security forces prevented their sit in which coincided with the absence of the ministry’s officials and staff because it was a day off.Abdel Majid kalivali, the lawyer who earlier adopted the prisoners’ issue told Echorouk Al Yaoumi that he did not want the issue to be a political one between the two brother countries. He asked public authorities to use the good relationships with Libyan leader in order to solve the problem and accelerate the deportation of the prisoners.

He also welcomed the solidarity initiative from lawyers especially Fatima Zohra Ben Brahime and Moroccan lawyer Buachrine.
