FBI executives to meet Algerian justice delegation in Washington

Series of negotiations held between14- 17 July between an Algerian justice delegation led by the justice minister, Tayeb Belaiz and representatives from the FBI as well as justice and secretary of state representatives, in which a deal was sealed concerning partnership in the criminal field between Algeria and the United states.

This agreement comes against the backdrop of the FBI announcement to open a branch here in Algeria to face the threats of the “Salafit Group” in the region of the Maghreb.

On the other hand, the justice minister’s representatives met with their US counterparts to discuss opportunities to draw up a special program dedicated to the Algerian judges as concerns organized crime as well as judicial cooperation.
