Ferhat Mhenni: “I will get my revenge from Algeria after it withdrew my nationality”

A delegation from the so-called « Kabylia’s Temporary Government » led by Ferhat Mhenni met with chairman of Jewish institutions representative council in France (CRIF) Richard Prasquier early this week to talk about “common interest issues between Jewish and Kabylian people,” said the council on a website.

According to public relations official at the Movement for the autonomy of Kabylia (MAK) Nafaa Kirache, the meeting aimed at evoking political problems in Kabylia and autonomy request.

He added talks were held about the crisis in Mali and its repercussions on the region as well as problems which Tuaregs suffer from such as                              auto- determination and the creation of their own state in the desert.

“Prasquier said there is a big rapprochement in terms of culture and values between Jews and Kabylians,” he said.

He stressed the necessity of deepening relations between the two people and defending their common interests together.

He also said Mhenni did not own an Algerian passport anymore and he asked for political asylum in France to get revenge from the State for withdrawing Algerian nationality from him.

Earlier in 2012, a visit paid by a delegation led by Mhenni to Israel to meet with the Knesset vice-president provoked the Algerian authorities who decided to pursue and prevent him from coming back to Algeria.
