FIFA Rankings: “Greens” Of Algeria Climb To 64th Slot Worldwide
The Algerian national football team won three places and rose to the 64th place in the world, according to the latest rankings of the International Football Federation (FIFA) issued on Thursday.
At the African level, the Greens of Algeria now stand in 11th place, with a change at the top of the Pyramid with Senegal becoming leader while being placed 23rd at the world level.
At the Arab level, the “Desert Warriors” of Algeria occupy the 5th slot, with Tunisia leading the way (27th globally) and Egypt dropping to second place (31st in the world).
Regarding the future opponents of the Greens of Algeria as part of the upcoming 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers, Benin lost three points and are now positioned in 82nd place. Togo won one place and climbed to the 123rd spot worldwide. Gambia also garnered one place and climbed to 163th place globally.
Meanwhile, Germany still hold on to first place globally, Brazil are second, Portugal are third, Argentina are placed fourth and Belgium occupy the fifth spot, according to FIFA’s latest rankings.
