Talking during his visit to Echourok premises, Belhadj has criticized the FIFA for endorsing some of his suggestions that he sent on February 25, 2006 which consists in booking a player who feigns a foul and falls inside the 18 yards to get a penalty.

The new law was not in force before the 2006 world cup in Germany , according to him, blaming thus the FIFA for appropriating his ideas without consulting him or even mentioning his name.

He seemed quite certain that the FIFA had “stolen” his five suggestions when this institution has recently announced it is about to submit a new project to the Executive Board suggesting 20 minutes instead of 15 for the extra time with five minutes rest between the two periods.

Abdelhak Belhadj has called on the Algerian football federation (FAF) to intervene in order to protect his rights especially that he was mailed back by the FIFA mentioning that it had well received his suggestions on due time.

He has declared that he was not looking for any kind of compensations from the FIFA for using his suggestions , but simply a form of recognition that these new laws were Algerian hundred per cent.
