Fire was caused by the melting of light bulb on the archive boxes, which destroyed ancient civil judicial cases, General prosecutor of Oran judicial council, said on Sunday, during a press conference on the fire incident which occurred Thursday, at the level of the archives room.

“20 archive boxes of basic files that justice implemented and closed, were destroyed. Fire was not caused by a person, because it broke out after the working hours, as the services of civil protection intervened in a short time and took control of the situation to save the rest of the files, without recording significant losses, both in the room or outside it, as all security agents who worked at Saturday night were alerted, and an investigation was opened by security services to discover the real causes behind the fire”, he explained.
“There is no relationship between the fire and the theft incident in Algiers judicial council and corruption cases that are posed at the political and media arena in this period. Justice Ministry is aware of the incident, as the  Algerian television was summoned to take pictures of the losses and details of the case, in order to explain it to the public opinion.
