The Ministry of Culture allocated 8 million Dinars to organize the first festival of folk music and Touareg songs, which would take place in Janet, Illizi province, South of Algeria, from the 29th of October to the 3rd of next November.

• The festival aims at reviving the Algerian cultural heritage and encouraging young artists in the South of the country.
• This kind of festivals contribute to opening new tourism destinations, mainly in a region described as the biggest natural museum by UNESCO, and receives thousands of foreign tourists every year.
