First judges batch graduation to fight cyber-terrorism in Algeria

Algerian Ministry of Justice Monday ended its training session in which 25 judges from different courts in Algeria in the field of business law.

The training is considered as a new specialization including punitive mechanisms and legal provisions to fight electronic terrorism as well as anything which have a relationship with public money embezzlement. Electronic espionage and its use in commercial imitation are also involved.

These training days which had been launched by justice ministry for more than 4 months are the first step to confront Internet terrorism.

The 25 judges have bee appointed at high positions in different courts in Algeria. Most of them have held the position of examining judge.

Examining judge in a court in Batna province (east of Algiers) Belachi Abdelouahab explained that proving cyber criminality has become a necessity requiring specialization and determine penalties.
