First shipments of Indian meat delivered to Algeria
The first quantities of the Indian frozen meat out of the 4000 tons due to be imported by the Algerian authorities to meet the growing demand on this product during the holy month of Ramadan have yesterday arrived to Algiers.

The shipments were scrupulously inspected by the health authorities through the examination of samples in the laboratories in a bid to verify their wholesomeness and their compliance with the standards in a move to avoid any form of contamination.

The meats were imported from to Muslim provinces, it said.

The General Manager of the Algerian Meat- Packing Company Djahid Zefzef has declared in a radio program that the prices of the imported meat will vary between 410 and 560 Algerian Dinars per Kilogram depending on the quality, expressing his satisfaction as to the affordability.
