- The 27-year-old striker hurt his right knee during Varese clash on Monday and an MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging) test revealed an anterior cruciate ligament lesion.
- The Galletti medical staff says the player will undergo a surgery, which will keep him off the pitch for at least four months.
- Algeria are prepping for the return leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round against Libya, after carrying off the reverse fixture with a lone goal in Casablanca early this month.
