Football / African Champions' League: JS Kabylie suffer heavy setback versus Cameroon's Coton Sport

The Algerian first's division squad of JS Kabylie has sustained a 3-nil defeat versus the local Cameroonian team of Coton Sport in a first-leg match of the African champion's league competition played yesterday in Garoua in Cameroon .

Buoyed by their numerous supporters, the Cameroonians imposed their utter domination throughout the game with repeated dangerous offensive spurts forcing the players of JS Kabylie to pull back in defence for most of the time.

In an almost  hostile environment and a questionable refereeing, JS Kabylie finally sustained 3 goals, one in the first – half on penalty and 2 others in the second half and was unable to reduce the score in expectation of the second- leg match.

In this connection, the mission of the JS Kabylie players is thus expected to be most difficult in the return match slated for May 9th in Tizi Ouzou, despite the optimism shown by the club manager Cherif Hannachi, who said that his players had the means to advance to the next round of this prestigious African contest with a sweeping victory in a fortnight over the Cameroonians.
