Football/ Algeria- DR Congo friendly match to be played in Nanterre stadium, near Paris

According to the leading staff of the Algeria football squad, the much-awaited friendly game between Algeria and DR Congo will be officially played in Nanterre stadium on the outskirts of Paris on March 26.

The kick-off of this confrontation will be given at 17h 30.

In view of the small capacity of the Nanterre stadium which can shelter not more than 10.000 seats, the local authorities were about to cancel the match fearing a massive surge of thousands of France-based Algerian supporters onto the French city.

Consequently, the authorities there have decided to enforce stringent security measures in and around the stadium in a bid to face up to any untoward contingency.
