Football/ Algeria squad to play friendly versus DR Cong without Ziani and Hemdani

Algerian playmaker of OM Marseille Karim Ziani was reportedly involved in a bitter dispute with his coach during half-time of an 8th final Cup match which opposed OM Marseille and the small team of Karkefou.

The Belgian coach of OM Marseille is said to have blamed Karim Ziani for his poor performance in midfield but the Algerian player did not appreciate these reproachful remarks and a bitter row broke out between the two men.

The ensuing slanging match between them could have taken a turn for the worse without the swift intervention of the team’s leading staff.

Afterwards in the cloakroom, Ziani flatly refused to apologize to his coach who decided to replace him by another player for the rest of the match which saw the surprise defeat of the Marseille team by one goal to nil.

With this untoward development, sports commentators suggest that Karim Ziani is unlikely to play the upcoming friendly between Algeria and DR Congo in France on March 26.

The Algerian defender of Celtic Glasgow Ibrahim Hemdani will also miss out on the DR Congo friendly on account of a thigh injury sustained in a recent Scottish Championship match.
