Football / In case of qualification, the Algeria squad will not be group leaders for 2010 World Cup qualifiers

According to the CAF confederation, the Algerian national football squad will not top their group for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers if their succeed in securing a berth in the current qualification race.

•  The “Greens” will have just to carry the day versus Liberia in their last qualifier planned for early October in Monrovia stadium.
• Even if they end up first in the standings after their upcoming match against Liberia, who are already out of contention, the “Greens” will not be mathematically their group leaders in the next round of the competition.
• The 5 future group leaders will be Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Nigeria.
• The Algeria squad will thus have to face one of these 5 strong national teams in the next round.
