Football: National team coach Saâdane holds appraisal meeting with technical staff at FAF premises

“Echorouk” has learnt that the national squad coach Rabah Saâdane met yesterday at the Algerian Football Federation's premises in upper Algiers with the members of his technical staff to make an preliminary assessment of the performance achieved so far by the “Greens” in the race for the 2010 World cup and Africa cup of Nations' competitions.

The participants also tackled during the appraisal meeting the pending case of certain professional players of the Algeria squad with particular reference to strikers Yacine Bezzaz and Rafik Djebbour who don’t’ play for the moment with their respective teams on account of wrangles with their coaches.

After a round-table discussion, national coach Rabah Saâdane decided to give a new chance to these 2 players in expectation of the upcoming World cup qualifier versus Rwanda slated for October 11th 2009 at the Tchaker stadium of Blida.

Well-informed sources told “Echorouk”, that Algerian striker Rafik Djebbour had now quit his Greek club of A.E.K Athens ostensibly to join an English outfit whose name is still unknown for the time being.

The same sources say that Djebbour is now in the French capital Paris on his way to the United Kingdom.
