Foreign maritime conveyer companies working in Algeria dictate prices
The forum bringing together business leaders of Algerian enterprises has brought to light the simmering affair concerning those European maritime conveyer companies which have been dictating for several months now their will on Algeria in total defiance of international law and regulations.

These European companies have decided to dictate their own prices since last March as part of the maritime conveyance of goods and other freights to Algeria requesting from the Algerian importers to pay for such provisions of service in hard currency and in Europe as well.

-
The Algerian operators blasted such unfair and unacceptable practices saying they went against Algeria’s sovereignty and should not be condoned by the relevant authorities.
-
-
They added that the latter should intervene swiftly to remedy this untoward situation.

It should be noted that these maritime transport operations ensured by European maritime companies cost Algeria over 6 billion dollars annually.
