Former Algerian president to lead support committee for Sudanese president

Former Algerian president Ahmed Ben Bella, has given his first accord to the civil society academy in order to lead the national committee for the support of the Sudanese people.

• For his part, the academy’s general secretary Ahmed Chenna started a series of contacts with various influential figures and associations in a move to express the Algerian official stand which denounces the International Criminal Court’s decision to charge the Sudanese president Omar Al Bachir with genocide in Darfur.
• The National committee for the support of the Sudanese people has assigned the international expert Fouzi Ousseddik to forward a message on its behalf to the Sudanese president.
• In a declaration to “Echourouk”, Fouzi Oussedik said that he will bring the message to the Sudanese president this month and added that the complaint lodged by the international al court is groundless and devoid of substance.
