Former GSPC leader El Para to appear again before court east of Algeria

The criminal court of Batna, east of Algeria, will soon consider the file of the former leader of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) Amari Saifi nicknamed Abderrezak El Para and “Abu Heidara El Aourassi,” deputy of Hassan Hattab, and his fellow “M.Farouk” on charges of organizing a terrorist group.

  • This is not the first time in which the criminal court scheduled cases of the former GSPC leader, arrested in 2004 in the southern Algerian borders with the Sahel region.
  •
  • Court will also address several cases related to terrorism, including the case of the terrorist “N.T” also nicknamed “Ossama” arrested on charges of organizing a terrorist group along with the former GSPC leader, and “B.Amar” also accused of creating a terrorist group, spreading terror among the population, attacking properties, intentional murder with premeditation, as well as “A.Samir” arrested on charges of joining a terrorist group, and “B.Ferah” on charges of praising terrorist attacks.
  •

  • Same court is also considering the case of the terrorist “M.Messaoud” controlled by justice on charges of joining a terrorist group, accompanied by his partner “B.Haroune” accused of trying to join terrorism, noting that the terrorist “M.Messaoud” is accused on six charges related to terrorism, but with different merits.
  •  Previously, El Para declares his repentance and joined Algeria Reconcilitation. He considered the years he spends in prison a “positive fate.” “It allowed me weighing the pros and cons and concluding that armed attacks hurt a lot the Algerian people.”And advised people who want to join the GSPC to stop thinking to do that. He warned them against fatwas on the Internet and CD-ROMs on misleading facts about Islam.
